My flax pa
Thanks to New Zealand Landcare Research the best flax plants have been preserved in a national collection and in 2011 I was able to plant a small 'pa harakeke' in our garden with some of these special specimens. With additional help of cuttings from friends and marae I've grown my little flax pa to about 40 bushes from different cultivars. It's a very helpful resource to have, with the right properties available for different projects. By regular harvesting I can keep it clean and more or less bug free.
